She was predeceased by: her parents, George William and Francis Kathryn Hulen (VanWinkle); her husband Otis James Hartsell, Sr.; and her siblings, Audist Hulen, Wilburn Hulen, Mike Hulen, Walter Hulen, Mavis Worthington, Mabel Morton and Norma Jean Hulen.

She is survived by: her children, Otis James Hartsell, Jr. (Sandee) of Swifton, Nora Young (James) of Tuckerman and Joyce Ann Howard (Jimmy) of Batesville; her sister Gertrude Cumby of Grand Prairie, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Young Harding, James Young III (Brandy), Thomas Howard, Kevin Howard, Calista Hartsell, Bryson Hartsell, Tammy Sandborn and Billy Johnson. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
