He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Madkin and Legolis Luster of Tarry, Arkansas.; his siblings, Larry, Maurice Luster (Sunny) and Shelia Ware; and his grandmother Jennett Luster.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis G. Luster; his son Brian K. (Vickie); his grandchildren, Ellisha, Elijah, Davion, Azarria and Kendall; his grandchildren-in-law, LaDarues, Victoria and Maurica; his siblings, Jackie Baskin, Glynda Hicks, Cheryl Luster, Safford Luster and Wayne Luster; and his aunt Rosetta Luster. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Laurel Land Funeral Home Timeless Memories Event Center (6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232). A wake will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Concord Church (6808 Pastor Bailey Dr, Dallas, TX 75237). A committal service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
