As Eugene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of our hearts. Though Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Travis Eugene Hamlin, Sr. and Mattilee Robinson Hamlin; and his wife Ivalene Hamlin. He is survived by : his children, Michael E. Hamlin (Betty) of Liege, Richard Hamlin (Nancy) of Cabot, AR and Charlotte Ogle (David) of Texarkana, AR; his sister Marilyn Slappy of Sturgeon Bay, WI; and also, Steve and Christy. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - Springhill (304 First Street, Northwest Springhill, LA 71075). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
