We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2025, at the age of 73, Jimmie Ray Watson of Taylor, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin "Shotgun" Watson and Clara Watson; his grandparents, J. T. "John", Jessie Watson, Roy and Bessie Mayfield; and his brother James Watson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Kelley of Waldo, Sherry Youngblood of Dubberly, Jerry Vaughn of Springhill, Louisiana, Jalmadge Watson of Waldo, Elbert Watson of Lake Erling and Bill Watson of Taylor, Arkansas; and his aunts, Liz Grubb of Ruston and Doris Hayden of Taylor, Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapel (111 N Hays Ave, Taylor, AR 71861). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Taylor Taylor, Arkansas (407 N Long Ave, Taylor, AR 71861). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Taylor Memorial Cemetery.
