She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Allen and Lillian Cockrell (Lewis); her husband Allen Lavern Mears, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Nicki Mears; and her brother James Weldon Cockrell.
She is survived by: her sons, James Allen Mears of Chattanooga, TN and John Stephen Mears (Celia) of Bryant, AR; her grandchildren, Joe Mears, Kate Baldschun, Amanda Moulthrop (Matt), Marc Mann, Thomas Mears, Jonah Mears and Charlotte Mears; and her great grandchildren, Jack Crowe, Jane Crowe, Reed Moulthrop, Jasper Moulthrop and Wyatt Mears. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
