“I'm so sorry for his loved ones' loss. Rex was one of my favorite people, going back to my senior & his junior year at Stamps High School, 1976-77. It was a very rough year for both of us, but Rex prevailed & so, eventually, did I. Being his friend was a privilege & an honor. I've always trusted his judgment, & in that regard the people he loved I love as well, family & friends alike. We will not meet his like again, & I, for one, am the poorer for it. But I'm rich for having known him.”
