He is survived by: his wife Sheila Mendez of Texarkana, Arkansas; his daughter Emily Mendez of Texarkana, Arkansas; his siblings, Angel Mendez and Leinis; his brother-in-law Jose Ramos (Keno) of Lorain; and his nephews, Angel Jr. (Laura) of Willoughby, Michael (Laura) of Lorain and Jasin of Elyria, Ohio..

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Childrens Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas.
