He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Carter and Bertha Cherry Carter; his wife Cindy Coy Carter; and his brother Willard Carter. He is survived by: his children, Brannon Carter (Robin) of South Caroline, Amanda Dalby (Joe) of Texarkana and Allisha Brooks (Jake) of Texarkana; his siblings, Mike Carter, John Carter, Martha Holloway, Mary Simmons and Cathy Bates; his grandchildren, Lucas and Leia Murphy; and his stepgrandson Tukota Brooks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
