We bid farewell to Marlin B. Laxton (Texarkana, Arkansas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Marlin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Marlin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marlin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Laxton and Leola Laxton. He is survived by: his wife Ida Laxton of Fouke, AR; his children, Bud Laxton (Lisa), Vicki Reynolds (Randy) of Magnolia, TX, Marla Runion (Danny) of Texarkana, AR and Michelle Nealy (Shannan) of Fate, TX; and his sister Helene Jancik of Hot Springs, AR. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Texarkana Funeral Home – Ar (4801 Parkway Dr, Texarkana, AR 71854). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
