With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nile Smith Jr. of Texarkana, Arkansas, born in El Dorado, Arkansas, who passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Arginettia Smith; and his parents, Nile E. Smith Sr. and Marzell Smith. He is survived by: his wife Robin Smith; his children, Nile E. Smith III (Teresa), Lenila Devett Smith, Zachary T. Smith, Rosalyn S. Harvin (Anthony), Marginettia I. Smith, Geraldine Julia Pendleton (Jose) and Josephus D. Smith; his siblings, Brian, Ralph and Beverly; and his extended family Alpha Phi Alpha.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (620 Cordell Ave, El Dorado, AR 71730). A wake was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
