It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruel Barksdale of Texarkana, Arkansas, born in Hope, Arkansas, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Honea and Margaret Honea; and his brother William Honea. He is survived by : his wife Betty Sillivan Barksdale of Texarkana, Arkansas; his children, Todd Barksdale of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Angie Chance of Little Rock, Arkansas; and his aunt Lorene Smith of Malvern. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
