She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lewis and Ollie Ann Cates; her sisters, Renee Alexander and Lynda Alexander; and her son Andrew James Pickering.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Champion; her children, Jaislee Pickering McDonald (Brandon) and George Lewis; her stepdaughter Eboni Champion; her grandson Lane Pickering McDonald; and her siblings, Deborah Alexander, Kelly Menendez, Kyle Bouldin and L. T. Pickering. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
