With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vickie Hines of Texarkana, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Bobo and Doris Bobo; and her son David McCorkle. She is survived by: her husband Billy Hines; her daughters, Melanie Ellwanger (Jamie) and Hannah Hines; her grandchildren, Elijah Ellwanger and Anna Kate McCorkle; her siblings, Curtis Bobo (Mia) and Tessie Fry (Keith); her stepchildren, Kiley Hines (Debbie), Cameron Hines and Lesley Hines; her stepgrandchildren, Kayla Hines, Hayden Hines, Garrett Hines and Levi Hines; her stepgreat-grandchild Ryleigh King; and her close friends, Buni Ferguson and Niki Taylor. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bethany Baptist Church (57 AR-355, Hope, AR 71801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
She was named a Legacy Queen in 2014 with the organization due to her outstanding work with the American Heart Association and her unwavering commitment to fundraising and speaking on the heart risks that we all face.
