He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Thomas Whitley and Alma Ruth Harper Whitley; his wife Barbara James Whitley; his brother Wayne Whitley; and his grandson Jim Moody.
He is survived by: his children, Chance Whitley of Thornton, Joy Moody of Thornton and Faith Manes (Scott) of Thornton; his siblings, Larry Whitley (Sherry) of Russellville and Carolyn Brandon of Thornton; his grandchildren, Josh Langley (Haley), Krystle Moody, Jewel Manes and Jordan Manes (Penny); and his great grandchildren, Whitley James and Bayler Jack. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
