He was predeceased by: his parents, Osceola McCoy and Myrtle G. McCoy; and his siblings, Lewis, Ned, Eugene, Charlie, Rodney, Ann Stout and Alma Diaz.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hodges McCoy of Tillar; his children, Richard Shane "Bubba" (Tanya McCoy) of Tyro, Annette "Baby Jane" (Bobby Sheilds) of Winchester and Judith "Bo" Janette (Jon Linely) of Back Gate; his niece Kristin Winters of Pine Bluff; and his siblings, Harley McCoy of Lake Village, Kenneth "Peewee" McCoy of Lake Village, Bennie Morgan of Lake Village and Hazel Pettigo of St. Petersburg. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
