With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Lamar Day Sr. of Tillar, Arkansas, born in McGehee, Arkansas, who passed away on November 9, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence William Day and Wynoma McCown Day; and his brother Ricky Day. He is survived by : his brothers, Billy Day, Lee Roy Day, Danny Day, Sr., Raymond Day and David Day; his wife Judy Cowen Day of Tillar; his children, William "Bill" Day, Jr. of Dumas, Walker Day (Rachel) of St Augustine and Jeani Clair Day of White Hall; his stepdaughters, Rachael Goode of Glen Rose and Jodie Melton of Monticello; his sisters-in-law, Linda Day, Pat Day, Tanya Day and Deborah Day; and also Sue Wood (Billy) of Foley. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorials in memory of William may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.

“I’ve known William for over 50-years. William was a great dad. I remember how very much he loved Jeani & Bill. He always made me chuckle when I saw him wearing his multi-color polyester trousers and matching patient leather shoes (1970’s). I admired his business ethics, farming skills and overall drive - a real competitor. Rest-in-peace. You will be missed. A friend, Jim Atkins, Franklin, Tennessee”
