He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Morris and Ruby Morris; his son Leonard Jay; and his brother Buck Morris. He is survived by: his wife Deane Clark Morris; his children, Bryant Morris (Suzanne), DeAnn Peterson (Jeff) and Kim O'Gary (Luke); his grandchildren, Jake Strother (Margaret), Morgan Morris, Casey Morris, Jaylynn Martin (Hadley), Drake Peterson (Kaitlyn), Alexandra Steed (Jaxon), Joseph Steed, Jack Steed, Michael O'Gary, Matt O'Gary (Kirsten), Ellie O'Gary and Owen O'Gary; his great grandchildren, Tillar Martin, Trippen Martin and Hunter Strother; and his siblings, A. J. Morris (Glenda Sue), Allie Belle Oliver and Doug Morris (Judy). He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Jack's honor to the American Legion Post 43, PO Box 602, Mountain View, Arkansas.
