He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Cecil Sr. and Martha Mae Henson Ward; his wife Joann Ward; and his siblings, Charles Ward, Rufus Ward Jr., Ross Ward, Edith Shuburte, Ruby Mason, Tiny Ward, Polly Carter and Gladys McClain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dianna Ward of Trumann, Belinda Holt (Robert) of Trumann and Connie Vance (Kenneth) of Marked Tree; his sisters, Linnie McNutt of Wichita and Betty Anderson (Bud) of Harrisburg; and his grandchildren, Brayden Smith, Kelsey Jackson (Heath), Miranda Beachel (Jeremy), Ariel Wisdom (Bradley), Meghan Holland (Chad), Kevin Holt (Cassie) and Breann Hawley (Jonathan).
