She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff Brand and Gracie Brand (Huskey); her husband Joe D. Fortenberry, Sr.; her sons, Joe D. Fortenberry, Jr. and Gregory Dale Fortenberry; and her siblings, John Brand, LeRoy Brand, Velma Hartwick, Thelma Smithee, Audrey Gilbert and Ruby Neil Adams.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Fields (Jim) of Tuckerman; her grandchildren, Susan Fields Clay (David) of Tuckerman, Joey Fortenberry of Tuckerman, Todd Fortenberry of Tuckerman, Travis Fields of Tuckerman and Jason Fortenberry (Amanda) of Tuckerman; and her great grandchildren, Brandy Toddy, Summer Sutherland, Cody Helms, Sara Helms, Olivia Helms, Jeff Clay, Kristen Muncrief, Shelby Fields, Jamison Fortenberry and Anna Fortenberry. She is also survived by eleven great great grandchildren.
