He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Cecil, Sr. and Alta Gardner (Garlington); and his siblings, Homer Cecil Gardner, Jr. and Kathleen Margaret Manning (Gardner). He is survived by: his wife Robbie Gardner (McNeece); his children, John Laymon Gardner of Tupelo, James Edward Lee Gardner of Tupelo and Virginia Kathleen "Jenna Kay" Gardner of Conway; his nephews, Monte Manning of Idaho, Robert "Bobby" Manning of Ohio and Homer Cecil "Trey" Gardner, III of Little Rock; and his niece Deidra Bridges (Gardner) of Searcy.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Arkansas Children's Hospital.
