He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Simpson and Helen Kate Burks Simpson; and his siblings, Don Simpson, Peggy Longcar and Maggie Simpson.

He is survived by : his wife Lisa Simpson of Tyronza, AR; and his children, Steven Davis of Independence, KS, James Davis of Trumann, AR, Patricia Davis of Memphis, TN and Rebecca Simpson of Windfield, AL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
