He is survived by: his wife Connie Shempert; his stepsons, Gerald Sutton Jr. (Vickie) and Jeremy Sutton; his grandchildren, Allie, Ashlyn and Jill; and his sisters, Shirley Reece (Tommy) of Marietta, MS, Mary Shempert of Lake City, AR, Brenda Shempert Buerkle of Malvern, AR and Pam Shempert Kirby (Brad) of Trumann, AR. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.
