He was predeceased by : his parents, William Elmo "Buck" and Helen Riddle Tacker of Virginia; his wife Virginia "Ginger" Tacker; and his siblings, Wayne Tacker and Linda Petty.

He is survived by : his children, David Tacker (Vivian) of Tyronza, Mark Tacker (Hayley) of Austin, Debbie Beley of Tyronza and Kim Teague (Jeff) of Marked Tree; and his siblings, Dennis Tacker (Pam), Janet Malone of Tyronza, Cynthia Gray of Marked Tree and Donna Wood (Leonard) of Marked Tree. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great grandchild.
