He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph William Gitthens and Eva Sprier Gitthens; his wife Wanda Charleen Gitthens; his daughter Sharon Joan Wilson; his granddaughter Hannah Nichelle Gitthens; and his brother Donald Gitthens.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Mark Gitthens, Steven Paul Gitthens and Andrew Wyeth Gitthens (Karen Ann); and his sister Dorothy Cline. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
