He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Smith and Georgie Smith (Bowen); his wife Ruby Smith; his son George Smith, Jr.; and his siblings, Genevive Jones, Josephine Henderson and Billy Carl Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Smith of Kibler and Connie Bredernitz of Van Buren. He is also survived by five granddaughters; and numerous great-grandchildren.
