He was predeceased by: his parents, E. W. Coots and Orma Coots; and his brother Bill Coots. He is survived by: his wife Helen Coots (Hunt); his siblings, Rosie Riddle, Ethel Sharpe and David Coots; his daughter Shawn Damron (James); his grandchildren, Parker Damron (Ashley) and Beck Damron; and his great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Aspen Damron.
