We announce the death of Michael Rinaldo Ceola of Van Buren, Arkansas, born in Springdale, Arkansas, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 47. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alvan Walker, Bonnie Bridges, Neal and Elvira Ceola; and his stepgrandfather Troy Bridges.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ceola; his children, Trinitee and Matrym Ceola; his parents, Deborah Bates of Van Buren and Ivan Ceola of Van Buren; his brother Thomas Ceola of Van Buren; his stepsiblings, Tina Bates and Jason Bates; and his half-brother Larry Helm. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ocker Funeral Home (700 Jefferson St, Van Buren, AR 72956). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Butterfield Assembly of God Church (1302 N 30th St, Van Buren, AR 72956). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Oak Cemetery (1401 S Greenwood Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
