He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmage Shatwell and Ethel Shatwell (Martin); and his brother Gary Shatwell. He is survived by: his brother Bill Shatwell, Sr.; his sister-in-law Evelyn Shatwell; his nieces and nephews, Billy Shatwell, Jr. (Amy), Patricia Shatwell, Melinda Evans and Tim Shatwell; and his close friends, Mike O'Neal, Howard Criner and Junior Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper or Harrison to help defray final expenses.
