He was predeceased by : his parents, James Willie and Maymie Sue Simmons; and his siblings, Wanda Delorisa Lewis, Virginia Ann Cole and John William Simmons.

He is survived by : his children, Eydie Simmons (Heath) of Vilonia, Arkansas, Lisa Simmons of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Ronnie Simmons (Kimberly) and Mike Simmons (Janet) of Vilonia, Arkansas.
