He was predeceased by: his son Stanley Mitchell; and the parents of child, Cleve and Betty Mitchell. He is survived by: his son Chad Mitchell of Newport, Arkansas; his daughter-in-law Holly Mitchell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his partner Tabetha Jennings of Viola, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Lauren Mitchell, Hunter Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell (Damon Malko), Kendal Mitchell and Hadley Mitchell; and his brother Don Mitchell (Anita) of Viola, Arkansas..

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hebron Church Cemetery.
