He was predeceased by : his parents, Hoyt Stewart and Gillie Stewart of Walcott; his former life partner Carolyn Stewart; his daughter Andrea Kaye Stewart; and his siblings, Frank Stewart, Bonnie Hyde, Jim Stewart, Sam Stewart and Bruce Stewart.

He is survived by : his wife Lynda Carolyn Wood; his great grandchildren, Jack Nelson Stewart and Macey Dawn Brinkley; and his sons, Lanny Stewart (Kim), Chris Stewart (Teri) and Jack Stewart (Jill).
