He was predeceased by: his parents, G. W. Hefner and Lula Mae Hefner (Songer); his wife Elnora Lenderman; his daughter Kathy Proffitt; and his siblings, Robert Hefner, James Hefner, Ollie Bowman, Mary Warrington, Gertrude Cupp and Maxine Powers.
He is survived by: his son Keith Hefner Fontaine (Patricia); his sister Eunice Smith of Michigan; and his granddaughter Jennifer Watson (Mike) of Jonesboro. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lorado Cemetery.
