She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gaines and Effie Gaines (Ring); her husband Jerry Gill; her daughter Debbie Geurin; and her siblings, Bill Gaines, Harry Gaines and Claudell Logan.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Gill (Tammie) of Powhatan and Joey Gill (Jennifer) of Walnut Ridge; her grandchildren, Kris Gill (April), Brett Gill (Summer), Jared Gill, Josh Geurin, Dustin Geurin (Lauren), Blake Geurin (Ashton), Rebecca Gill and Tyler Ditto; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Jarrett, Connor, Kaitlyn, Kylie, Kaden, Racheal, Shooter, Gunner, Addison and Witten; and her great great grandchildren, Eavelyn and Kohen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center Activity Fund in Shirley's memory.
