She was predeceased by : her parents, Jim Hales and Lucy Stuard Hales; her former life partners, Bob Curry and Harry Brown; her son Robert Curry; and her siblings, J. C. Hales, Junior Hales, Woodrow Hales, James Hales, Roy Hales, Ellie Huff and Willie Colvin.
She is survived by : her children, Brenda Ozment, Jimmy Curry, Joey Curry, Donald Curry, Michael Curry, Jerry Curry and Glenda Lindsey. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
