He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar McCarty and Gertie Brown McCarty; his wife Aleta Grice McCarty; his daughters, Beverly McCarty and Tanya Squires; his granddaughter Brandy Elliot; and his great grandchild Paige Taylor.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Howell of Pine Bluff, AR, Pam Allison (Tim) of Fountain Hill, AR and Susan Potts of Monticello, AR; and his close friend Barbara Parnell. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
