She was predeceased by: her parents, Ymon Hamilton and Mary Hamilton (Spencer); her husband Mack Deaton; her children, Anita Kay Ramey Barnes, Denisa Miller Torno and Gary Smith; and her siblings, Mary Frances Batchelor, Sharon Arnold and Bobby Wayne Hamilton.

She is survived by: her son Vernon Joe "Bo" Smith (Janice) of Poplar Grove; her grandchildren, Corey Smith of West Helena, Jason Smith of Ft. Worth, Devon Ramey (Megan) of White Hall, Chris Miller (Tammy) of Marianna and Jennifer Miller of Tallahassee; and her siblings, Kathy Delk of Bald Knob and Larry Hamilton (Margie) of Helena. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
