It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claveland Martin (West Helena, Arkansas), who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles E. Martin, Sr. and Roberta Gause; his brothers, Eugene Gause, Sr., Eddie Martin, Arthur Adams and Andrew Gause, Sr.; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Winston, Sr. and Earnest Davis, Jr.; his sisters, Charlene Martin, Velma Martin and Smith; and his son Mykel Williams.
He is survived by : his wife Carla Martin of Lexa, AR; his children, Nicholas Martin of Helena, AR, Henry Cordara Martin (Angelina) of San Diego, CA, James Harris Martin (April) of West Helena, AR, Reginald Williams (Aleshia) of Jonesboro, AR and Shasta Smith (Demario) of Southaven, MS; his siblings, Leon Mayweather (Pearline) of Charlotte, NC, Tommie Gause, Jr. (Juanita) of Southland Community, AR, John Gause, Sr. of West Helena, AR, Charles Martin, Jr. (Tracey) of Marvell, AR, Willie Bell (Tabora) of Lancaster, TX, Celestine Sims, Sr. (Edmond) of Marvell, AR, Rosie Winston of Jonesboro, AR and Carrie Martin of Southland Community, AR; his sisters-in-law, Ruthie Gause of Southland Community, AR, Gloria Gause of Southland Community, AR, Kimberly Gause of Southland Community, AR, Monica Jones of Southland Community, AR and Myra Williams of Southland Community, AR; his aunts, Margaret Bell of Chicago, IL, Mable Pruitt of St. Louis, MO and Charlene Pruitt of Atlanta, GA; and his close friend Sam Dean, Jr. of Lexa, AR. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
