Martha Whitted Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Whitted (West Helena, Arkansas), who passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Foster and Lottie Cotton Foster; her husband Marion Whitted; her son Lendsey Whitted; her sisters, Ethlean Weeks and Eunice Vanlandingham; her stepsisters, Betty Jane Harvey and Aressa Reasoner; her brothers, O. D. Foster, Mabry Foster, Johnnie Foster and Alan Foster; and her stepbrother Walter Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Whitted (Edith) of Clarksville, Martha "Jennie" Yates (Melvin) of West Memphis, Evelyn Griffin (Howard) of Helena, Donna Batts (Charlie) of Marion and Sandra Von Kanel (Jim) of Wynne; her sisters, Annie Lois Abney of Mississippi and Geraldine Ann Bramlett of Texas; and her grandsons, John Griffin, Michael Boydston, Brandon Batts, Nathan Whitted, Jimmy Von Kanel and Ryan Whitted. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home (508 Plaza, West Helena, AR 72390). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (5783 US 49, West Helena, AR 72390).
