He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Reverend Doctor Joseph Hughes; his daughter Sharon Valley; his grandson Marquel Rose Jr.; his children, James Kenneth Hughes, William Vincent Hughes (Angelee), Marcus Hughes, Eddie Hughes, Brenda Hughes, Wanda Hughes and Racquel Hughes-Foreman; his siblings, Reverend Doctor Arthur Hughes, Joe Willie Hughes (Lucille), Mary Ann Goldsberry, Lorene Green (Tyler) and Bonnie Jackson (Kenneth); his brother-in-law Deacon Ronnie Smith; and his close friend Barbara Carter Hays. He was also cherished by 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a HUGE host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
