It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Hurst (West Memphis, Arkansas), who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Baxter B. and Mary R. Ross; her husband Alfred F. Hurst; and her siblings, J. W. Ross, Roy Ross, Ray Ross, Arnold Ross and Louise Ross Jones.
She is survived by: her sons, Edward Baxter Hurst (Sonia) of Baton Rouge and Charles Alfred Hurst (Suzanne) of Germantown, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Ross Scott Hurst (Audrey) of Memphis and Caroline Orman Chappell (Josh) of Germantown, Tennessee; her great grandchildren, Sophia Dianne Orman, William Charles Hurst, Elizabeth Laine Hurst and Eleanor Anne Chappell; and her brother Robert R. Ross of Memphis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice, reflecting Anne's generous spirit.
