She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sidney Carson and Vera Leatha Smith Carson; and her children, Rufus Brown, Billy Doty Jr., Diane Fitch and Cynthia Jones.
She is survived by: her children, John Brown of Marion, Donald Doty (Gwenna) of West Memphis, Arkansas, Sharon McLaughlin (Zeke) of Joiner and Tywanna Willliams (Harell) of Wynne, Arkansas; and her pets, Lula Belle, Larry and Kitty Tom. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
