She was predeceased by: her parents, W. H. "Tommy" Thompson and Frances Badgett Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Joel G. Wood; her children, Paul B. Wood (Genie) and Lisa W. Abbey (Kyle); her grandchildren, Davis Wood, Ryan Abbey and Sloane Abbey; her brother Dr. Robert Dee Thompson of Dallas, TX; and her sister-in-law Ava W. Edwards of Tchula, MS. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
