He was predeceased by: his parents, Cameron Copeland and Vivian Ross Copeland; his great grandchild Ari Hubbard; and his son-in-law Ben Farley. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sanders Copeland; his children, Patrick Copeland (Lori) and Susan Farley; his grandchildren, Tyler Copeland (Caitlyn), Shelby Lybrand (Spencer), Leslie Hubbard and Amy Bunting (Jerry); and his siblings, Cam "Uncle Sonny" Copeland and Shirley Tomlin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of White Hall.
