It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobby Joe Matthews of White Hall, Arkansas, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Mathews and Beulah Todd Mathews; his wife Jewell Matthews; his son Mike Matthews; and his siblings, Sonny Mathews, Elsie Bates, Lucille Curbow and Annie Sebourn.

He is survived by : his children, Becky Neu (Nick), Anita Matthews and Mark Matthews (Amy); his sisters, Holly Persons and Ruby Haller; and his grandchildren, Josh Robertson, Leslie Richardson, Melissa Brown (Adam), Scott Matthews (Candice), Leann Reed (Brad), Katie Holmes (Tyler), Braden Matthews and Brooklyn Matthews. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel (8302 Dollarway Rd, White Hall, AR 71602). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
