He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carol Edward Akines and Syble Reeves Akines; his wife Wanda Owen Akines; his children, Danny Akines, Jr. (Tracy), Bobby Akines (Becky), Johnny Akines (Alexis), Rachel Hunt and Sonya Cozad (James); his grandchildren, Owen, Daniel, Brian, Kerian, Ella, Donald, Brooklyn (Stephen), Hannah (Eric), Elizabeth, Rochelle, Emily, Cheyenne (Nathan), Dakota, Caleb, Jeremy, Holley, Gavin and Parker; his great grandchildren, Elijah and Gabriel; his siblings, Judy Brown, Arlin Akines (Tammy) and Glen Akines; and his brother-in-law Herbie Owen (Stephanie). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
