She was predeceased by: her husband Perry Nelson Hills; her son Steven Nelson Hills; her parents, James Sifers and Letha McKinney-Sifers; and her brother Roger Sifers.
She is survived by: her daughter Melody Hills-Gere (Terry Gere); her grandson Robert Gere (Sydney Gere); her great grandchild Elaine Gere; her granddaughter Bethany Gere; her grandson-in-law Tyler Lewis; her sister Alice Faye Sifers-Essary; Janet. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
