He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Gillespie and Virginia Ann Owen Gillespie. He is survived by: his siblings, Vernon Gillespie Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Vickie Caldwell (James) of Dunnegan, MO and Vida Rowland of White Hall, AR; his nephews, J. "Jerome" Caldwell of Dunnegan, MO and Kyle Rowland (Carol Anne) of Gillette; his niece Rebecca DeLeon (PJ) of San Antonio, TX; his great-nephew Walker Rowland of Gillette; his great-niece Adelynn DeLeon of San Antonio, TX; his turkey hunting buddy Dr. John Robinette; and his friends, Mark, Tommy and Kelly Hardin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Chapel (811 N Lincoln Ave, Star City, AR 71667). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
