Verna Mae Long Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Mae Long of White Hall, Arkansas, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Verna departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Verna. Though Verna may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Bumpass and Alma Vincent Bumpass; and her brothers, Vernon Bumpass, Jr., Jimmy Bumpass and Billy Bumpass.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Long; and her children, Sandy Cross, Melissa Long and Robert Long (Rhonda). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel (8302 Dollarway Rd, White Hall, AR 71602). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
