She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Owen and Mary Will Smith Owen; her husband Vernon Gillespie; and her siblings, Helen Ballew, Carrie Mae McClinton, Evelyn Johnston, Maxine Woolley, Martha Lou Mayfield, Eula Faye Hestand, James Owen, Victor Owen and Herbert Owen.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon Gillespie, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Vance Scott Gillespie of Star City, AR, Vickie L. Caldwell (James) of Dunnegan and Vida Rowland of White Hall; her sister Joyce McFalls of Pine Bluff; her grandchildren, J. "Jerome" Caldwell of Dunnegan, MO, Kyle Rowland (Carol Anne) of Gillette and Rebecca L. DeLeon (PJ) of San Antonio, TX; and her great grandchildren, Walker Rowland of Gillette and Adelynn DeLeon of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
