He was predeceased by: his parents, Reba Haynes and Joseph L. Brigance; and his brother Randy. He is survived by: his wife Jamie; his children, Jill Brigance Meyer (Reynold) and Joseph Matthew Brigance (Christey McCormick); his grandchildren, Matthew Chance Brigance, Caroline Haynes Meyer, Catherine Cashion Meyer, Joseph Eli "Jeb" Brigance, Mary Patton Meyer and Alvin Reynold "Reyn" Meyer IV; his sisters, Sandra James and Sharon McCullar (David); and his brother-in-law Steve Ford (Mary Ann).
