He was predeceased by : his parents, Reba Haynes and Joseph L. Brigance; and his brother Randy. He is survived by : his wife Jamie; his children, Jill Brigance Meyer (Reynold) and Joseph Matthew Brigance (Christey McCormick); his grandchildren, Matthew Chance Brigance, Caroline Haynes Meyer, Catherine Cashion Meyer, Joseph Eli "Jeb" Brigance, Mary Patton Meyer and Alvin Reynold "Reyn" Meyer IV; his sisters, Sandra James and Sharon McCullar (David); and his brother-in-law Steve Ford (Mary Ann).

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilson First Baptist Church (1 Jackson St, Wilson, AR 72395). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
